Cesena U19 celebrates with a landslide victory against Ternana

In the splendid setting of the Orogel Stadium Dino Manuzzi, Cesena U19 celebrates the promotion scoring five goals against Ternana. The B&W team start strong, getting close to score not even a minute gone with Carlini’s attempt from the short side on the right. However, the ball just caresses the crossbar. At 14’ Francesconi tries from the penalty area’s borderline, but the opponents’ goalkeeper miraculously rejects. The advantage is not long in coming though, and after four minutes Stiven Shpendi scores the 1-0 on Carlini’s perfect assist. Ternana’s first chance comes only towards the end of the first half with Barragan shooting from inside the penalty area but Bizzini easily wards off.

In the second half, Cesena rules, utterly dominating. At 57’ a muddle in the Umbrian penalty area gives Cristian Shpendi the opportunity to strike, but the referee cancels due to an alleged off-side position. Four minutes pass and the redoubling happens this time, with the new entry Bernardi who, with a perfect diagonal kick, slips the ball into the lower corner to Morlupo's left. Ceccarelli's boys are not satisfied yet and, only two minutes later, Stiven Shpendi strikes the personal double and his twenty-first goal this season, sending the ball in the net thanks to Bernardi's assist. At 66’ Nunzi is sent off for a double yellow card, further paving the way for the B&W squad's victory: at 79’ Morlupo fends off Cristian Shpendi’s shot, but three minutes later he can do nothing against the deviation of the header by the same stricker, who scores his fifteenth goal in this championship. After an attempt at 89’ by Toffanin, that poses no threat to the newly entered Pollini, just at the end Bernardi strikes for the second time, settling the score to the final 5-0.

At the end of the match, Cesena U19 team are officially awarded for winning the championship by Lega Pro president, Francesco Ghirelli.
