From 1st July 2022, Domenico Toscano will be in charge of coaching Cesena FC first team. In his career, he has won two promotions to Serie B (with Reggina and Cosenza) and one to Serie C2 (with Rende) while playing as a midfielder. Then, in his second season on the bench, Toscano successfully got Cosenza promoted to the Serie D (2008), repeated the following year when the Red & Blue club got to the Lega Pro 2D championship.
In 2011, he joined Ternana leading the team to a promotion to Serie B, a success doubled by winning the Lega Pro "Panchina d'Oro" award. He also scored at the first try when he joined the Novara club in July 2014, guiding the just relegated Piedmontese team to the immediate return to the Lega Pro championship. After a return to Ternana and experiences with Avellino and Feralpisalò, in June 2019 he was called by Reggina and, once again, the successful tradition was renewed as, in his first season back there, he led the Amaranths to the Serie B, earning him the fifth promotion in his coaching career.
With more than 400 matches as a coach, Domenico Toscano, who will be 51 on 4th August, has signed up with Cesena FC until 30th June 2024.
