One half each and it’s a tie: Cesena-Reggiana 2-2

Cesena and Reggiana share the stakes in the derby by virtue of one half each. The first half has the B&W signature: Viali’s boys score thanks to Pierini, who strikes on penalty at 11’ (contested by the opponents), and Pittarello, who scores his first goal this season at 37’, towards the end of the best 45 minutes in the championship. That could be crowned at the beginning of the second half when Bortolussi fails to finalise the best game action of the match. From there, Reggiana takes centre stage: at 56’ Zamparo finds the 1-2 after missing a previous chance slightly earlier (crossbar) and it takes a couple of interventions by Nardi to deny the 2-2, which however materialises ten minutes from the conclusion on a free kick shot by Lanini. The match point comes just before the end to the hosting team, yet Tonin and Steffè don’t find the successful spark.

Cesena FC restores the two-point advantage on the tables over the fourth team from the top, and on Sunday (kickoff 2:30 p.m.) is away on Fermana’s turf.
