Pescara remains taboo: Cesena FC defeated 1-0

Pescara's pitch remains taboo for Cesena FC: zero victories in twenty-two championship matches with zero goals in the last five. The second taboo seemed to be broken after ten minutes when Ilari’s header hits the net in the corner to the right from Sorrentino, unfortunately it's a very brief illusion because the referee detects a prior foul. Then Pescara becomes aggressive and just before the half hour takes the lead with a goal by the former Cesena FC player Drudi. Same story in the second half: Nardi says no (twice) to Pontisso and Clemenza, coach Viali gives the whole bench a try but only at 78’ Favale, on a free kick, dirties Sorrentino's gloves, at the end nervous by B&W final attempts. For Caturano and his companions thus comes the sixth defeat in the championship which brings Cesena FC down of two points over the pursuers - Entella and Pescara itself - in third place. Next leg on Monday at the Orogel Stadium against Reggiana, that today beat Vis Pesaro 3-1.
